10/08/2004 - Natchez City Cemetery awarded South’s Best

Turner South television selected four cemeteries in the south to include in their Blue Ribbon special. While the cemetery segment was being broadcast they invited viewers of the program to go to Turner’s web site and vote on which cemetery they liked best.

The Natchez City Cemetery was one of the four selected along with Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia, Coon Dog Cemetery near Tuscumbia, Alabama and Ramsey Creek Nature Preserve in Westminster, South Carolina.

Don Estes was notified by Tentmakers Entertainment, which filmed the segment for Turner South, that Natchez was the winner with over 70% of votes being cast going to the Natchez City Cemetery.
